1) unzip the downloaded theme and find the folder named: "theme/themename"

If you can control your domain, just make it to point in /phpnuke and not in /html |

Sure phpnuke is as most as it is possible bug free, else we wouldn’t use it. I think probably is a matter of its popularity and with users without a clue who don’t read the manual.
