Probably right on the "wrong area" part. I started typing and months of keeping my mouth shut came to a head. Plus I kinda wanted it on a 'front page', not 'hidden' in the forums. I think what got to me was that CI was taking advaantage of NukeCops good nature and it seemed close to what FB is doing with NukeCops. So that's why I jumped in here. I LOVE NUKECOPS and never meant to imply they didn't deserve respect and support. Sorry if I did.

NukeCops (and some other sites/people) have been the saving grace of PHPNuke. Of course they deserve 5 bucks and then some from me and anyone else that runs a Nuke based site. What I don't like is that the 5 bucks goes straight to the guys at CI Host as a pay off like a mob shake down.

If there's no way out of it for real, then we should all chip in to help out. BUT - if they're getting paid because somebody said "please" and they said "Piss Off", then I think there might be more wiggle room to both get out of the contract AND use the money for NukeCops directly. IIRC, CI has been foul for years. Of course they have a pretty web site and a stock game plan for the post sale ticked off customer, they get them all day. But enough pain will probably make them let go without the dough. Threaten to gather signatures for a class action lawsuit and if they don't flinch, then actually do gather the sigs and hand them over to an ambulance chaser. At least that would save 100's of other trusting customers from the same fate and make the other ISP's more honest.

You're right - should have been in the forums. My bad!
