Computer Cops (CCSP) is currently pilot testing a wonderful new piece of technology insofar as PHP-Nuke is concerned. Insinuendo authored the TrackBack API for PHP-Nuke. It is a specification by MovableType, a popular Web Blogger. Such a tool enables PHP-Nuke to broaden its reach to a whole new class of web sites: Blogs.

For a series of informational links and what's its, click here:

  • Original PHP-Nuke Concept at Nuke Cops
  • Concept taken up by mosizzle as seen here
  • Initial release as found here
  • Beginners guide to TrackBack

And most importantly, from the author's site:

  • TrackBack for Nuke 0.10a released
  • Downloads are found here

Be sure to grab at bare minimum the API toolkit for PHP-Nuke TrackBack here. This will enable modules like the News-TB to function.

In the initial CCSP article way above, three TB-pings were sent to:

    http://www.sixapart.com/log/2003/03/a_beginners_gui.shtml
    http://insinuendo.org/article12.html

Feel free to follow the above three links and search the page for CCSP Piloting Trackback Software. You shall notice those locations Tracking Back to Computer Cops' article

Thanks to the TB-Ping system setup, results can be found here, in mosizzle's awakening.

As another test, I sent a TB-ping to the CCSP article from Zhen-Xjell.com. Visiting the CCSP article the TB-ping shows up successfully. View it here.

To summarize, TrackBack for PHP-Nuke by mosizzle opens up the CMS to a whole new genre of web sites: bloggers. Now your information is more portable and readily accessible by a previous untapped resource of the Internet!

Keep up the great innovative work for PHP-Nuke. This will certainly be included in the Nuke Cops PHP-Nuke Bundle release 7.0.
