Topic: Modules

The oscnukelite team released Oscommerce 2.2 as module for PHP-Nuke 7.0 & 7.1.

(Developed under 7.1)

The module comes with an auto-installer so you´ll need no experience or high level.

Let us take u into the next level with this top of the notch shell module for PHP-Nuke.

Never it has been more easy setting up the best open source shop on your existing PHP-Nuke platform.

Read below for insight on the project.

After some weeks of distribution of our software and some month working on it,
with all version we made and feedback we have for now, we have made a consultation
of some of our users that follow us from the start and helped us many time (great thks),
and had some discussions between present Dreamlite Team Members (2 actually) to see where
we are and what to do now.
Those discussions lead us to propose you a knew way and had changed our view. As it appears
that we are not enought working on it and we cannot develope all we want as we want and do the
forum and users support correctly in same time because we have been to ambitious by releasing
directly a full distrubution (containing many changes, tweak and add compared to a normal nuke
version) it had forced us to make a total support on all part of the distribution, with the work
made and explain under we will be able to reduce this part and go on easily on our developement.
For our user the beneficit is important ( more compatibility with nuke->more possibilities to
add nuke stuff easily inside your site or even to plug the module direclty on an existing nuke
site ofcourse with a little users conversion to be compatible to the module but no one table or
field of original phpnuke 7.1 have been modify). We hope a more efficient support on cart part
that is after all the most importantfor your activity.
The possibility to have another CMS as kernel like Nsn because if we see as a module why not
propose many version and let user decide themselve what to use.

Release of oscnukelite as a module for phpnuke (developed under nuke 7.1) :

Modification & differences with original version of oscnukelite :

- Total account management and edition modification, integration of all function under the
same interface as well as for admin than for users.(based on modification proposed by jgugler)

- Login with the pseudo instead of email address to have more compatibility with nuke portal
and solve the problem of too long email.

- Remove function NSN group (planning to put instead the B2B modules more appropriate to manage customers
group) and all nuke functions that are not into original nuke 7.1 to go on compatibility process, also the
theme used for the developement is deepblue original one too.

- Addition of the installer with the pack to install the module directly and easily.

- Addition of order consultation directly under nuke administration by uses of popup that allow a quick order
view and management.

- Modification of application_top.php files to solve problems encounter with servers online when reload the page
totaly (languages error & currency to 0 problem).

- Remove some contributions not important that can be added easily by users who want it into their site.

Left to do :

- Translation of last account management into all languages (for now only english and french).

- Go on more integration of double functionnality as newsletter.

- Little design bug in orders administration popup (Work 100% but there is a sorry file not found... above the popup
that is not nice for administrator.

- Bug with advanced search that dont work for now, but search of product work well.

- Go on more integration of oscommerce administration into nuke one (at least for important business process).

- Propose a total rewriting of the catalog to make the business part crawlable.

- Https problem with server not allow a real https directory beside the normal one(domain check failure).

On developement by Dreamlite Team :

- The same project exist for Nsn but we haven't released it yet i think as soon as we release this one we will release
Nsn module too, that mean that if you read this file the nsn module is release too or in some hours will be.

- Developement of this module with the Sah1 encoded account password version recently coming out.

- And the most important for us, i mean the developement of a completly tweaked and rewrited version that will be the
continuation of oscnukelite project to run a business website with all needed inside for user that dont want to have
to add anything inside to run their activity.
