I didn't know where else to post this but I was perusing the web looking for useful PHP for my site and I found this site http://www.hotscripts.com/PHP/Scripts_and_Programs/index.html and it appears that a lot of these are being sold. Just wanted to let people know that maybe, just maybe, something they wrote is over there and others are reaping a profit. I could be wrong about this but it doesn't seem right...

Just because PHP code is not compiled and you can see and modify it does not mean the software has to be free. People put a lot of time and energy to write scripts. They are entitled to get compensation for their hard work.

Many folks elect to share their scripts for free under an open source license. This allows others to learn and grow their own knowledge base. You or anyone else though can take any script released under GPL, which most Nuke ones are, and start charging a fee to other people if you want. Yes, it doesn't seem right, but it's completely legal. The creators of the scripts gave everyone permission to do so by using that license.

Okay, I just would hate to see someones hardwork going into someone else's pocket. I believe in the compensation of course!!
