Having just used your patch on an existing 6.5 site, and being delighted, I have a new project.

I have a copy of 6.9 but was wondering what you guys were up to.. is there going to be a similiar pack for 6.9?

there haven't been any major changes made to nuke from 6.5-6.9 that aren't already in the bundle

if 7.0 actually adds a lot of features or makes any changes to the actual structure of nuke (6.0-6.5 is a perfect example) then i'm sure the bundle would get updated.

Hi 6.9 doesn't have our phpbb 2.0.6 port, it has the 2.0.5. However with that said, watch for the news... tonight I hope.

Well time to set up this CVS then...

Am going to try and bring four sites under a common version and structure. As long as there's no major change of direction in 7.0 CVS should deal with the upgrade.. shouldn't it?

Yes we stay in tune with the phpnuke bundle itself. What is has, our bundle has, plus...

Well bullet bitten.. I've mirrored my site tonight to a fresh install of your CVS version from my 6.5 BetaNC'd version. There were only a couple of issues.

Firstly I extracted a SQL dump of all my existing data from the 6.5, 200 member site.

Setup a completely fresh site from the 29/8 tarball, with a new database generated from it's sql. I then ran the sql data dump from 6.5 and all fields imported apart from users and stories. Stories failed due to the fact that I had run the news-ordering patch that adds an extra field. That done, stories, no problem

Users just wouldn't work and kept error'ing on something about row 1. so I deleted the table and restored the entire table and data from the 6.5 backup.

A few fiddles here and there with the nuke_config table to sort the missing selected theme and hey presto. After checking things over and fixing the inevitable missing graphics (topics, story includes, etc) the install is working a treat. To anyone else out there considering their options I would highly recommend it.

On a last point I would ask that the mod to allow news ordering be considered for inclusion in the release. I'm running a sports site and on match days results will take precedence over all other news. Anyway that's my 'tuppence' worth as they say..
