ok i put the 2.0.14-2.0.16.patch into the modules/forums folder (this is where my forums root is on my ftp)
i then copy into that same folder the update_to_latest.php
i then ran the update_to_latest.php file and the file transfered data ok and that file popped up so i saved it and closed it ,,, but this hasnt worked
i did the same with the upgrade.php but nothing again
should i have copied any of the other stuff into the ftp forum folder? bearing in mind that inside my 14-16 zip theres 1-16.patch 2-16.patch and so on up to 15-16.patch and other folders ? |

It sounds like he is installing the phpBB files, because I almost did that myself by accident...*sigh*...still don't have my forum themes working...
Anyways, I'm having this exact problem as well, and I have version 7.7. I want to be able to post links in my forums so I can point people in the right direction, and I don't want to have to make them copy it into their address bar.
I deleted the code and that destroyed all advanced HTML functionality whatsoever for administrators. I mean, yeah, this is a quick hack and it certainly "works" but I still want to have that functionality.
I'm trying to learn, here, but this is my first time working with PHPnuke, so pardon my stupidity please. I download the latest "Nuke 7.7 Patched" file from nukecops and it looks precisely like the "html" folder that I uploaded to my webserver a while ago.
There is a different SQL file, though - I'm wondering...should I just drag ALL of these files to my site and then ADD the script to my existing database on my webhost? As I understand it, all of the administration settings and forum settings, as well as some content, like the referencing to extra blocks and modules, are stored in the SQL database. Is this right?
I do NOT want to screw over my entire site by trying this upgrade - do I NEED to overwrite the entirety of my previous site with this one (retaining whatever I created, obviously)? I'm just trying to fix this problem, for now. |

Wow, just what I was looking for.. However, after the fix... it takes the TinyMCE completely off? I was hoping to keep it for everything except for the forums.
I know html, but other posters on the site may not. Did I do something wrong? Or is there a way to keep the TinyMCE HTML editor on the submit news and such?
Thanks! |

Are you sure you downloaded the right file? The latest Patched files are at http://www.nukeresources.com
It is design to overwrite your previous phpNuke files. Only the files that have been changed are included. If you have done significant modifications to your files, you will probably need to use a file difference program such as WinDiff
The WYSIWYG editor can now be activated by going to Modules in your admin panel. Hit the WYSIWYG on/off for that specific module |

www.nukeresources.com Just get the patched php-nuke files for the version you are running. Replace only the files that are contained. And the fix should take place.
Let me know if you are still lost,

I am running 7.7, do you mean for me to replace the whole script or just the patches for 7.7? |

The patches will be set up like the whole script but only contain files that have changes. Just upload all the files, overwriting the ones in the directory. If you have any custom changes you may want to note them, and add them to the new scripts as well.
Not only does this fix the problem of the html editor, but also gives you the most updated security patches too. |

I belive the read me for the patches tells you to change a few key words to make them valid with the new patched files. Should be universal with all theme packs.. |

I have installed several scrolling blocks on my forum... they seem to be lagging... whenever I right click on the my page and select properties they fire up and scroll smoothly... this affecting my top dowloads, forum posts, and games block that scrolls...
how can I fix this?
