BBToNuke is the ported version of phpBB for phpNuke. It is designed for use of the Forums within the phpNuke environment. Mods must be ported for use with BBToNuke.
phpBB standalone integrated package is a phpBB designed to use the phpNuke users, but nothing else. It retains the independent files of the phpBB package so that it can be modded with phpBB mods and so forth.

I am still a little new to it all but how do you determine what version of phpbb you are using. I am using php-nuke 7.x and just went to the 'Modules" section in Administration and enabled the Forums module. Below is what I find when I go to the Forum Administration Index. It is a little too confiusing for me.
