Future plans for newsbyyou.com - Would your site have useful content?
InternetLinguin writes "News: by YOU! is home of the updated BlueBump Theme, downloaded 1311 times. (visit the site for a preview...)

I have another goal for the site and am looking for feedback to see if I am off-base.

My goal is to have a site that is connected to several websites and their content to create a full-blown online newspaper with content created by those sites' Community members.

The way I see it, several things need to happen:

- Top community sites need to be identified and accessable via RSS news feeds.
- Those sites should fit Categories similar to those you would expect to find in other online newspaper publications: World News, Sports, Entertainment, Business, Politics, Money, Travel, Religion, Food, etc...
- Classifieds Mod will be local to the site (zClassifieds the best to use here?)
- Comics Mod will be local to the site (Daily Cartoon?)
- Weather Mod will be local on the site (WeatherHarvest?)
- Admins of sites featuring content fed through the main news site will be given administrative rights to post their top articles to the site.

This is my first brainstorm... We could have more than one site featured for each Category... Maybe a module for each category - This would require a template with a Primary placement posted for the main featured site of the category and less of a dominant position for others. (an example for sports would be a general sports site in a primary position and specific sports, ie. Football, Hockey, etc... in secondary positions...)

Like I said, this is a brainstorm and I am open to any suggestions... "
