Advanced Google Search
Add Onsseventhseal writes "There have been several Google Search blocks that have been created to give your site great new functionality. Some blocks are bloated, while others miss some of the key elements people look for in one stop shopping. That is why IBDeeming has written a version that includes the options found at Google.com.

Features This new addition to the PHPNuke community include both a block and module. Here's what you get!
  • Standard Search text
  • SafeSearch option
  • Intelligence in the short block to allow visitors to just search your site!
  • Advanced search allows you to specify how the text is found, what part of the page, or even exclude!
  • What language to return the results
  • Certain popular file formats for results
  • Specify how old the web pages searched must be within
  • Or even search a specific website!
It's true, there are many variants of this one out there, but this gives you everything you find at Google.com! Installation Real simple!
  1. Unpackage the package in a temporary location.
  2. Always back-up anything you think you need prior to installing any package from anyone!
  3. copy the block and module files to their correct locations on your site.
  4. Language file is included for anyone who'd like to translate. (return translation to IBDeeming for credit and inclusion in the package!)
  5. Log in to your ADmin cPanel for the site.
  6. Activate the block and module
  7. That should be it!
To make sure the block and module are functioning right, just look at the block on your page - your host name should appear in the block! Next, try a search. It's that simple. Support There is limited support. If you are having problems with the way the code is written, contact IBDeeming. If you are having problems with the search results, you can try them at Google.com, if they don't work then submit a problem ticket with them. Thanks! I hope you enjoy the mod! Be sure to check out the other great blocks and mods at IBDeeming. See it HERE
