work continues on phpBB 2.2 - ready to take over to BBtoNuke!

In a new article, the phpBB-developers announced that the phpBB 2.2 development is continuing:

"Just a quick reminder that work continues on phpBB 2.2. We're very nearly done with Milestone 2 (out of four). Most of the new styling system is in place if not entirely functional or "clean" codewise. We will soon move ahead with the third milestone which will see work on search, further MCP, ACP and posting updates and numerous other features. Further details will be made available at the appropriate time. Remember to visit DEMO-Site (at area51.phpbb.com) where you can see 2.2 under development, download snapshots and view the new Admin Control Panel in the gallery."

Well - very good news for the Port to PHPNuke: see BBtoNuke [BBtoNuke.SourceForge.net] and NukeCops: The great innovative board phpBB soon runs as a PHPNuke-module!
