And at the rate that FB releases upgrades, the book is probably outdated  It will be interesting to see the sales, that's for sure. He releases upgrades faster than the PHP team and that's saying alot.

Does the book come with a free copy of nuke? Or is there a "special club" ediation for an extra $30.00. :-)

PS... I'm actually very surprised FB is suing the pants off these guys yet... I'm quite sure they took the time to give at least a thousand different programmers credit for their work... OK I'm done...

I do agree. I think there is already a web based manual somewhere floating around.
I downloaded that one and it can be a help.
But, not only phpNuke changes (either by FB or nukecops) but, PHP, phpMyAdmin, MySQL, they also change.
What about all the varieties of OS etc ?

    hello

The book will be published in october -
Jens Ferner worked since 2001 (guess so )
for the german support in http://www.nukeforums.de and http://www.phpnuke.de. He is a experienced Nuker.

Well - i am not the author of the book - but as far as i am informed:

The book is written to with a double (a twofolded)perspective:
First: it can serve the user of phpnuke to enlarge the genral phpnuke-knowledge.
But there is a second advantage of a book: This first book about phpnuke is
    a milestone - others will follow -. The book is a kind of artifact;
The book can serve in a specific way - in a very distinctiv and specific way
    - and may help to reach the unreached.
It can reach the unreached - rembeber that the web based documents only are
written for the Nukers who allready know the system. The book is able to enlarge the user-base of phpnuke!
In a knowledge-ecological regard this book is very very valuable for the whole community!

    best regards
    NukeEvangelist

    - and yes - i hope that other books in other languages will follow

    >Very nice. Will Nuke Cops get several copies to
    action off to members?

just ask the publishing house - contact

    julia.hofius at BERTELSMANN DOT DE

guess that she likes the idea: But remember - this is a German book

Well - on the long run we need a english version - and anybody who is willing to come up with such a book - for the WORLD: IMAGINE - Two books will be pupbished in German at least in this year!

But there is a much bigger market - so who is writing the english book?
