True, you do need instruction. No question. Again, using the car as an example. You could receive instruction on driving it from a certified professional. Though, most likely you may have learned from a friend or relative who doesn't have a perfect driving record and are not certified to teach first. Goodness knows we have enough idiot drivers in the world. They received the same instruction right? Perhaps they also didn't understand it fully. The owners manual tells you how much and what type oil your car needs, but does that mean the driver will ever check it? This is where the forums fail a bit. The search engine never really locks on to a search query. Especially when get a million topic titles of "Help". It doesn't "help" at all. Yes, we need documentation. I was explaining why it gets overlooked and that you can seek help elsewhere (such as books, others who know - should they be willing) before shouting to the world that programmers are going to purgatory. They have pressures too. A million emails and PM's asking "when will it be released?". I'm sure it's just as madening for them as it is for us end users. If it were me, (and I know it's not) I would've proposed such documentation as a group project rather than cuss and fuss.
