(User Info | Send a Message) | A lot of hosts hang around here: http://www.webhostingtalk.com . If you post your need over there, whoever can meet it will speak up or they may recommend others to you who can. After that, do some searching and check out whether the candidates are reputable or not.
Those who have high bandwidth sites know they have to get out of the gutter, and they have to pay way more than $8/month. The majority of the hosts who post here can only handle small or low-bandwidth sites which the majority of users are anyway. These guys would absolutely die if everyone maxed out the bandwidth at the price they offer. This one though is actually fairly reasonably priced but 1 to 5 Gigs will turn out to be nothing if you intend to grow a lot. The most important thing to know right up front is whether a host can handle your site when/if it does grow out of their package deals. Some will actually show you the door while others will gladly work with you as you grow. |
