It's be awesome if we could create an information archive. For example, that post mikem linked to was awesome. I know it says READ ME FIRST but I has no clue it was even there, and I learned a LOT from reading it. I think we could benefit from a php troubleshooting manual, but it'd be so hard to make and take more time than the developers should have to go through... perhaps a user based project?

When I first started using a phpbb board, I tried searching for a few things and realized that it didn't work. New members can either spend hours searching through ALL the posts, or take 45 seconds to start a new one. Think of how frustrating it is when your site craps out on you and how fast you want to fix it. |
