My theme was coded at 740 wide, but I don't like things so cramped together. So, I set it up to 850.
From what I hear, most people are now running at 1024X768 resolution, and 800X600 falls in second place.
What size do you think themes work best at?
[I noticed my forums fit on the screen a little better with PHP-Nuke 6.5 if I run at 850 (my desktop res it at 1024X768).]
What happens if you set the theme's width as 100%, rather than using a certain width number (e.g. 850)?
Thanks.

If you use 100% instead of pixels it will resize itself on any size screen.
When making a theme it is better to cater for different users. Screen size is part of this and will enable more users to confortably navigate your site.
