Doesn't seem as if your able to connect to the database double check your password and username in config.php
If your 100% sure they are right
Try uploading conntest or analyzer and verify the connection. If the connections good check the number of fields in the database to be sure its complete. You did import the database presumably?

Make sure that your site url in your Preferences is set properly. If nuke is installed in a subdirectory of your root, make sure that site url shows that. In other words if nuke is in
Code:
http://members.lycos.co.uk/reptile329/html
then your siteurl must show that too.

Oh, so you can't even get the initial screen to show - sorry! You're running in safe mode aren't you? Is this your server? Can you turn safe mode off? Try contacting your Host otherwise and have them set you up so you can run with safe_mode off. There may be another answer, but it seems that there is something that they have to do.

As I said, when safe_mode is on they sometimes have to tweak each user. Maybe that's not the case here. Since your site is not yet working you could try deleting your nuke files and reinstalling this on, I know it works. Just a thought. http://gaylenandmargie.com/nuke/html/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownloaddetails&lid=57
Be sure to modify the config.php accordingly.

Can you share with us how you fixed it or was it just replacing it?

Yes,I downloaded all the folder except the 'themes' folder. For some reason my ftp device screwed up...anyways I still can't figure out how to make your forum style match your php nuke..or how you can make your old forums for phpnuke.
