I did the upgrade successfully, it said at least.
I saw no other errors.
Now on my admin menu I have no options to select, just log out with no icon.

I have modules in the same place as before, I have restarted mysql, I have looked for error in the error_log file, I have changed file ownerships, tried other browers, other machines and few other things. This one is a bit of black hole with no clues.

Any other people have ideas, please.

I have read a few people have had similar issues but the fix was not posted if they had found one.

Thanks

Same thing for me :\

Only thing in the administration panel of PHP-Nuke 7.4 after the upgrade is LOGOFF.

Any ideas?

I had a few ideas that I posted, but they were not right. So I am fresh out of ideas.
I cant believe all I did was upgrade the database and this happens. The upgrade says all I have to do is upgrade the database, but maybe there is more to it, like some changes to the php pages.

I am going to try new install.

Cheers

I've had the same problem.
After uploading nearly all files twice I uploaded the config.php, too. After that, the administrator's page showed up correctly.

Same here! Updated from 6.9 and admin icons are gone. Re-installed twice and after 7.3 to 7.4, gone! I rememer a message

"PHP-Nuke Update finished!

Please note that SECTIONS modules has been removed on this version. All your data from Sections module has been moved to CONTENT Module.

You should now delete this upgrade file from your server.
"

Update Re-installed and upgraded to 7.3 and admin menu is there!

I solved my problem by uploading the /html/admin files from the 7.4 pack to the webserver.

I've now seen this as well. Past postings don't show any conclusive solution. I tried mr_quake's solution of reinstalling the html/admin files; nothing changed. Everything else seems to be working properly, including direct access to admin functions.

I came across the same problem. Luckily before I installed the upgrade, I backed up my Database. Once I recovered my database to it's original state. My admin links came back just fine. I however haven't tried everything out, but they are there in the admin menu.

i had the same problem. I fortunately backed up my DB before upgrading. So what i did was a complete wipe and reinstall. I wiped everyhing, my entire folder, my SQL databases. I then cleared my temporary internet files and deleted my cookies. Then i reinstalled with the 7.4 version. I created my database first then uploaded phpnuke. i restored the database with phpmyadmin, and uploaded any missing folders and files. site works like a charm now Smile although i don't know why all the admin options disappeared Sad

ok i have the same problem, except i have no idea how to solve it. i wouldnt know where ot start backing up let alone re uploading my data base, so now im screwed. what intrigues me is that on the admin panel itself now in baclk text it says 'access denied' by the logout icon. still no ideas? Sad

I installed 7.5 and got some "access denied" problems, i found this bright guy MrFluffy over at http://www.ayhsel.de/forums.html. He helped me with a couple of modules.

I'm pretty sure there's a simple fix, but I can't replicate the problem so I can't find a "fix".

If one of you wants to private message me an admin account info and FTP file access I'll take a look this weekend....but no promises on a fix.
