Hi, I am new here so be kind!
I managed to get through all the early problems, and into the realms of gt-nextgen working. Superb!
Problem however, comes when I move between the modules: On entry (ie the homepage, I have CCart as default) the pages display their html as expected. If I then click deeper, into more information, this is another module and the url displayed is the full url. Within this module though, Google tap will continue to work correctly, until I want to change back to CCart.
For an example, please view www.bodyweapon.co.uk/wingchun.html then click on the more information link. Then try wingchun in the menu again. Weird! |

I had CCart tapped at one time. Might check the original support site for that module - I think the guy posted it there or I posted it there or something...
You need to have all possible url's tapped through a NExt Gen Google Tap module AND have entries in the .htaccess file.
Its been a while, but good to see that CCart is still around . . .

This is David 12 hours in the future!
Just to let you know, don't make that post as you'll figure it out straight after!
The problem I had was that I had two modules that were customised. When it switched between loading a page in each of these it was using the Google Tap file for each module, but I hadn't included each of the other urls in the files. So, I required effectively two identical files named for each module.
Works great now. So clever, big up the Google Tap inventors!
Anyone know whether the first page ought to be tapped? ie index.php should this be index.html or is this ok? |

I know of one website that gives you everything, but its in its beginning stages!! http://www.2spk.com you can host it and get a sub-domain for free!! Give it a couple of days to process the account and you will receive a email confirming the setup..
it will give you googletap with MySQL.. hope it works |

When you say your ISP won't allow you to do it, you have checked with them correct? (I only ask because I assumed the same thing the first time I was with a screwy ISP - only to find out that if I added the filter -al to my ftp settings I could actually see and edit an existing .htaccess file already there...)
The other option would be to find out what file is accessed the first time someone hits your site - ask your ISP what engine you are running if you aren't sure and then do some research to see if there is an alternative to .htaccess and if so, you may be able to code the Google Tap in such a way that it uses that file instead.
[EDIT] Also - most versions of GT that I have seen rely on mod_rewrite to be compiled with the (apache) web server engine - so if you don't have mod_rewrite capabilities, I am not sure that GT is going to work for you on that particular ISP, so it may not be as far fetched an idea as it sounds....
