Sorry if this isnt the correct place but I couldnt see anywhere else as to where my question would fit in, Right I have just installed PHP-Nuke 7.9, Everything is fine but when ever a user comes to register it says it sends out an email activation link.. but it doesnt, I dont think ive even setup the email settings for it but I cant find it anywhere in the Admin panel.. any ideas? |

In your admin area go to your "Preferences" and make sure you have the correct information for your Site URL:
Maybe your host does not allow the use of mail through the mail function in php? Ask them.  |

Its a home server and it does work with PHPBB, but not Nuke, Is there a file I can edit to make the changes?
It would use the smtp right? |

You could always install a user mod for registration , thus doing away with the need to dispatch emails and such ? Do a search for "Your Account Mods" or something of that nature . There are a ton out there . One that I used to use was CNB Your Account . Good luck  |

Yea , you'll get that here from time to time Just search the net . Another one I remember seeing at one time was NSN Your Account . As I said, there are a bunch out there .  |

Got another question but this is to do with the forums, Can i install mods for that particular version of phpBB? I dont know if the coding has changed in PHPNuke.
Also about upgrading to the latest..whats involved in that? |
