Long story short after a hack on my site, currently running PHPnuke although I'm not sure where to find a version number right now, the forum module got damaged.

I do have the files still from an old backup but at least some of the tables were damage too and I don't have the SQL saved to rebuild them. Right now the easiest thing, I think, would just be to totally remove and reinstall the forums with the latest version - I'm not too worried about the old data on them and I like the idea of starting clean.

What I can't figure out is how to do that with just the one module, I've done some searching but most of what I find seems to be about PHPbb fresh installs and I'd rather have the integration of a module than run the forums as a separate entity altogether.

If someone could show or tell me how to go about a proper un / reinstall of just the forums I'd be grateful. Also, I'm sorry if this post is in the wrong place, it seemed the closest fit.

Thanks for any help.

Edit: Just removing and copying the "Forums" module from a base install seems to have worked and fixed most things. I was scared to try it at first for fear of loosing more but my worries were misplaced. All that's left is to update to a newer version.

Note that they are upgrade packages only. To restore the entire forums within phpNuke, you will need to go back to your phpNuke package.

Load up the entire /modules/Forums and /includes folder
And use the nuke.sql file to recreate all the tables (the ones starting nuke_bb)
