Ok, I'm very new to this, and I've had some luck, but seem to have problems I have not seen here...

I've been playing around with phpnuke 7.9, and so far have set up three different sites from the same files, using the same steps, and only on is working properly...

Here is what I've got:

Site 1: tommythecat.net - this site works perfectly, hosted on godaddy's premium hosting.

Site 2: fatesblade.org - hosted on godaddy's economy hosting. I set up the database, edited the config.php file to match passwords and everything I need. When you load the index.php page, all I see is a '?' at the top of the page. When loading admin.php, all I get is a '<' at the top of the page. I've deleted and started from scratch, I've done a file with
Code:
'<? phpinfo(); ?>'
, and I do get results. This plan is supposed to support Php.

Site 3: tommythecat.net/fatesblade - This site shares hosting on my main plan, but has a separate database, the page loads, but I get an endless login loop in any browser other than Internet Explorer. I know it's not a cookies error, as my other page works fine.

I really would prefer to get site 2 working, and drop site 3, but if it's easier to fix site 3, I'll go that route... I don't need both...

Any ideas?

Are 1 and 2 addressing the same db? Check your config files.

no, they are both on separate databases, with unique names, user IDs and passwords.

Perhaps a corruped file? I would go and check your uploaded files again

It's frustrating... because I've used the same files for all three sites... Only modifying the database information...

I've dropped the 3rd site completely...

I'm still having problems with my second site doing the login loop. What's strange is that I only have the problem with Firefox and Safari on my main computer, IE6 and Opera work fine, as well as firefox on my 2nd computer.

Even though the databases are seperate, both sites are hosted on the same server and account. The only browsers I've had a problem with are ones I've loaded my other site on (and it loads fine)... Could there be a configuration problem that the 2nd site is loading the cookies from the first site and erroring?

Seeing as they are on the same domain, would they try to access everything together? Seeing as the site at the root of the domain was loaded first, the cookies are correct, but the site in the sub directory tries to access the same cookies, but they are not correct...

Subdirectories are certainly a problem with cookies. Seperate subdomains and domains should work fine though

Is there a way to fix this?

I've got the second site on a second domain, forwarding to the subdirectory on the first site.

Is there a way to change the settings for the cookies to take care of this problem?
