Centerdown block alignment

I am just making a website using the Milo theme. I have put some blocks in the center-down position fine, but I was wondering if I could have two blocks center-down, but rather than one on top and one on bottom, have them side-by-side. Any ideas how to either modify the theme or maybe make a "super block" that would hold two blocks?

There have been a couple of mods that did that - seems like NSN had one but this has been a year or two since I remember seeing it.
