I am using a block which is very simple:
Code:

<?php

if (eregi("block-vWar.php",$_SERVER['PHP_SELF']))
{
    Header("Location: index.php");
    die();
}

$content = "<li>"
     ."<a href=\"modules.php?name=vWar\">War History</li><br /></a><li>"
     ."<a href=\"modules.php?name=vWar&mod=nextaction\">Next Matches</a></li><br /><li>"
     ."<a href=\"modules.php?name=vWar&mod=member\">Roster</a></li><br /><li>"

     ."<a href=\"modules.php?name=vWar&mod=calendar\">Calendar</a></li><br /><li>"
     ."<a href=\"modules.php?name=vWar&mod=stats\">War Stats</a></li><br /><li>"

     ."<a href=\"modules.php?name=vWar&mod=profile\">Your Profile</a></li><br /><li>"

     ."<a href=\"modules.php?name=vWar&mod=joinus\"><font color= #20FF00>Join Team</a></font></li><br /><li>"

     ."<a href=\"modules.php?name=vWar&mod=challenge\"><font color= red>Challenge Us</font></a></li><br />";

?>

Block Text is normally set in style.css sheet for theme currently in use... you have overidden those settings by stating text colour directly into block

You can either alter the actual block script to reflect style/font required, or set that particular block text to a new setting which you add/specify in the style.css sheet of the theme you are using. If you use more than one theme on your site, each would have to reflect changes made in the style sheet/s.
