I have PHP-Nuke 6.0 and I want to upgrade to PHP-Nuke 6.5... What I want to know is what is the best way to go about doing this as an upgrade and not a full install, like do I overwrite old 6.0 files with 6.5??? I am just trying to not have to redo everything all over again and not loose my current members, news, modules, addons, and things...
Also I noticed that Nuke 6.5 beta 7 Web Installer was in the downloads section and I was wondering when PHP-Nuke 6.5 beta 8 would be avaliabe to download from here?

Any addons that have anything to do with the users table will be affected by the upgrade since some fields changed but adapting them should be fairly easy, what you should be cautious about is if you are using the phpBB port along with Nuke, i made an upgrade file that will preserve your forum data, use that instead to upgrade, again, this only applies if you have the port, else upgrading will be a matter of running the 60-65 upgrade file, either way, when done you'll have to replace nuke 6.0's files with the new ones. Last, the web installer is just a database installer for fresh installations or to rebuild a broken 6.5 database (this option wipes out the tables and recreates them so it should only be used as a last resort as all data will be lost, the installer does not include any of nuke's files as these are to be downloaded from the Nuke club and cannot be offered elsewhere, what it does include is a modified Splatt Forum as it was removed from version 6.5.

Running the upgrade should work whether you upload the files first or not, in your case what you may need to do aside from upgrading is grabbing nukesql 6.5 to upgrade Splatt's files, i'll look into this in a day or two, i still don't have beta 8 so i'm not sure about possible changes but from what i've heard no big changes were made. we'll see...

beta 8 has pretty much no changes other tan the security fix, and the removal of the profile module again (doh!) + a few bug fixes.
I've already fixed a few other updates for beta 8.
