I attempted an upgrade from phpNuke 6.0 to GoogleTap 6.5. Everything went well, except for one thing - my blocks won't appear.

See my live Nuke 6.0 site at

http://www.WestchesterWire.com

and my GT 6.5 site at

http://www.WestchesterWire.com/new-tap/

You can see the rewrite rules work if you click on the Read More links.

From my Admin page I can see my Blocks. They are all these. And I can see them in the database, too. They're just not displaying.

======
Aw shucks, now I think it is a Nuke issue, not a GT issue.

I've installed Nuke 6.5 at

http://www.WestchesterWire.com/new/

and I have the same problem!

Anyone have any idea why the Blocks are not displaying?

Thanks in advance!

Sean

Yes as ZX says.

Try a different theme and see if they re-appear.

Doesn't matter. Same problem occurs under the standard Nuke 6.5 NukeNews theme.

See

http://www.westchesterwire.com/new/index.php

http://www.westchesterwire.com/new-tap/index.php

Strange problem.

Any ideas?

In the meantime, I am going to do a clean Nuke 6.5 install (database and all) to see if the problem is database-related or server-related, as opposed to upgrade-related.

Well, thanks for your help. But I think the problem was database-related, especially with regards to implementation of the upgrade scripts. I remember having some problem when upgrading the database and somehow I had to manually extract the SQL statements out of the scripts and insert them using PHPMyAdmin.

As I didn't have a "clean" copy of Nuke 6.5, all I had was the NukeCops 6.5 secure version, I went and downloaded 6.7 from phpNuke.org.

After setting the config.php file to point to a backup copy of my 6.0 database, I checked the new Nuke 6.7 site and all the blocks were missing, just like I described in my other posts! Once I ran the 3 upgrade scripts (6.0 to 6.5, 6.5 to 6.6, 6.6 to 6.7) all my blocks reappeared. Hence my thought that the problem I had before was database-related.

I have now upgraded WestchesterWire.com to version 6.7 and will leave it at that. When GoogleTap comes out for 6.7, I will look into that.

Thanks again.
