Hi there,
I'm running PHP-Nuke 6.5 and I'm using phpBB 2.0.4
I wanted to upgrade my phpBB 2.0.4 to phpBB 2.0.<b>6</b>
Will anybody direct me how to do it please?
The main reason is, that some of the users are getting famous error message: Invalid_Session, while over here at http://nukecops.com same users tried to post and they managed to post successfully
I would appriciate any help at all.
best regards. |

Hi'ya, try upgrading sequentially to 2.0.5, then 2.0.6 from our downloads. |

May I need to install Sci-Fix pack 3 ???
I never did that ! my PHPNuke 6.5 is the original one - i just installed some news modules and other things.
Is that upgrade safe ?
Sci-fix pack 4 have all the corrections ... and i just apply this to phpnuke 6.5 and then bbToNuke 2.05 and 2.06 ?
I'll appreciate any clue's with my upgrade
You could check my website here: http://www.portalvol.com
Thanks

Still having problems upgrading to phpBB 2.0.6? Try this:
http://www.lenon.com/postt4.html
I've boiled the process down to the bare essentials... |

Er... what is 'Sci-Fix pack 3'? I know I've never heard of it. Maybe that's why you aren't getting an answer. |

It's in download section - and before upgrading to bbtonuke 2.05 is write down the description.

Gottcha! Okay, so the question is, why do you have to apply Sec-Fix patch 3 before you upgrade fom phpBB 2.0.4 to 2.0.6? The instructions for upgrading to 2.0.5 specify this needs to be done, but Sci-fix pack 4 already contains the Sec-Fix 3 patches, so why should you do this?
My best guess would be, yes, you have to apply Sec-Fix patch 3 because upgrading to 2.0.6 is actually a 2-step process. First you upgrade to 2.0.5, then you apply the changes to make it 2.0.6 and upgrade again.
LoL! I'm having a hard time following the logic here. Are you saying it isn't necessary to apply the Sec-Fix patch 3 because you already applied the Sci-fix pack 4 and it has the same patches in it? I've never heard of Sci-fix 4 either. Can you give me a link to this Sci-fix pack 4, so I can check it out? |

I use PHPnuke 6.5
I uploaded bbtonuke2.0.5. Than I tried to run update_to_205.php, I get error "You can't access this file directly..."
I set CHmods all open, so that cant be the problem. I tried lots of things but it did not work. Than I decided to manually run the sql-query, and it did with succes.
Since I thought it might have to do with Sci-fix pack 3, I installed that 1 too. But still get error "You can't access this file directly...". I think at this stage it is not important cuz the tables have been altered with the manually sql. However in admin it still states version 2.04..
Than I installed 2.06, but again when I try to run update_to_206.php, I get error "You can't access this file directly..."
Since there is no manually sql in the 2.06 zip file, i havent got a clue how to solve this.
Could someone plz help me, thx
website : http://www.swop-x.nl/ia/phpnuke/html
I think it has something to do with
if (!eregi("modules.php", $_SERVER['PHP_SELF'])) {
die ("You can't access this file directly...");
}
maybe nukebb.php cant be located, so the path is wrong.
I also tried to use the standard Silver skin template of 2.0.5 but same result
Some help would be appreciated! |
