Not usre if this is the correct place for this but..
can you disallow anonymous posting in shoutbox? I have heard these can be hacked or have malicious code inserted and I was wondering if there was anything that could be done about it... thanks!

Depends which shoutbox you have.. some can be set for members only, or set the shoutbox, if in a block, so only registered users can view
