I am currently running a subscription site that provides content for the software POSER using nuke 5.4. I would like to make it up to 6.9. I don't care about the current forum content, gallery content, the current theme, or most of the other content. There are critical modules that have been altered slightly that need to be ported over.
1) Edit Users Module - Customized with the addition of a "subscription ending date". Three dropdown boxes with a Month, Day, Year Format.
2) Users Group Module - Distinction between regular members and "membership owners". All members can see available content but only membership owners can see download links below each item.
3) Products Module - Shows available content previews and descriptions, and links to full page preview. Checks to see if member viewing is a "membership owner" (subscriber) and shows download links if they are.
Administration side allows uploading of images from computer. Entry of descriptions, whether or not released ( if not released, item is shown in 'next weeks releases section), value of item, week number of release, etc. . .
4) Center block on home page - Shows preview of latest release plus thumbnails of three previous releases along with the first 100 or so characters of the description.
5) Next weeks releases - Shows products in the same format as products module, but only products not yet released for download. Once released, items go to available content section with all other content.
6) User download Logs - each membership owner (subscriber) is allowed 3 downloads per item. If they need more than that we can reset downloads for individual items or all items for that subscriber. This was in place to stop password sharing which we experienced a while back, but I have been reconsidering it's value. This may or may not need to be included.
I believe that covers it. Those are the modules/areas and their functionality that I would need in Nuke 6.9. My first thought was that it would be easier to install a fresh 6.9 in my new space and then have someone port over or re-create the functionality. Re-create it in the event that the coding was too different due to the gap in versions.
My next thought was the idea of 'baby step' upgrades if it was possible.
Either way I am looking for suggestions and potential help from one of you experts out there. I'm not just asking for a favor. Because this is my business and there is a need to do this in the very near future, I am willing to pay for help with this.
