Know if Mozilla or Firebird users have problems logging in ?

Searched here, but found nothing.

A user reported he was not able to log in with either mozilla or firebird, only IE.

Here are the errors he reported.

Thanks for looking into it. If it will help, here is some of the message I get when I try to login.

"Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/ginnypot/public_html/phpnuke/config.php:118) in /home/ginnypot/public_html/phpnuke/mainfile.php on line 165"

There are two other errors as well, "/home/ginnypot/public_html/phpnuke/modules/Your_Account/index.php on line 696" and "/home/ginnypot/public_html/phpnuke/modules/Your_Account/index.php on line 741".

This is the first I have heard mention of it.

I just tested my site with Mozilla and the login works fine.

The header error is usually caused by output_buffering set wrong in php.ini
Do you have access to php.ini?

It's worth having a copy of these browsers on your computer. It's quite interesting to see the sometimes difference in how they are render your site.

I have no problem seeing Nuke sites with the latest Opera, Netscape and Mozilla.

The older browsers have problems particularly Netscape 4.x and older: they just show a blank home page.

To be honest on the rare occasion a Netscape 4.x user complains I gently explain it really is time to update.

Adding that line from the thread you posted - turning something on in Htaccess did the trick. He can now log on just fine.

I can login fine from IE, but not from Opera. When I try to login from Opera it says "Sorry, this Module isn't active!". So what is the solution?

Running Opera 7.23, Nuke7.0/Apache/Win2k.

I don't have any problems logging in with mozilla firebird. However the main page is a bit stretched horizontally. In IE, everything fits inside the window like it should, however in mozilla, the news/messages/forums block takes up a large chunk of space, pushing the login off to the right where I need to scroll to get to it. Also, the scrolling forums block will scroll fine untill I switch windows or tabs to another site. When I switch back to my site, it won't scroll anymore. Anybody else have these issues?

Got the old debugger revving, and figured out the problem relates to modulates simply not being active!! I could not previously see the problem since my admin cookie was saved on the PC, and in that mode, it seems all modulate were viewable. I set the appropriate field in the modules table, and things started working.

So I have no problem with Mozilla/Opera.

I used Mozilla Firebird for about a month, until the latest update to FireFox was released. Even now I have the same problem that ozshadow had. I visit about 5 sites that use Nuke. On one I visit, there is a PHP error on the home page.

On all of the sites I visit, there is a php error with BB. I click on the Forums link, and it takes me there. Everything loads fine, except at the top

These errors don't actually inhibit my ability to use the site, they're just very annoying.

Ya, can any one help. I installed nuke 7 this past week and now I'm having lots of problems with mozilla. I can only login using IE and i hate IE. If you need me to do any debugging give examples etc, just let me know. I'm all for helping squash this one.

I use Mozilla and Mozilla Firefox as my primary browser[s], so I'm quite sensitive to this problem. I only use IE to check code for compatibility when I'm making blocks, et cetera.

What this amounts to is IE allows a lot of sloppy code to be executed without displaying errors. Not so with Mozilla/Firefox.

So, here's what I do...

Hate to sound like a noob but I can't find "mainfile.php" no matter where I look. I looked in C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox using Windows File search (including sub folders) for 'mainfile.php' and got no results Sad

It's not on your local drive. It's a PHP-Nuke file. It resides in the root directory on the web server.

Oh. Ack. Well, I'll see if I can't try that out, but I think I'd have a hard time convincing a mod of all the sites I visit to change their files.. stubborn people these days, ya know? Wink

Just wondering, but what exactly is that code running. Holyjaw (that llama) posted this in one of the sites I help run. Before I mod any code I like to know what exactly is being changed.
