Those types of WYSIWYG editor works only on IE (or IE based browsers).

Thats what I know.

LoL! Okay, I give up. What "wyswyg (sic) editor for adding topics" won't my beloved Firebird/Firefox work with? How about a URL? I've been using this browser for months with no problem[s]; poorly written, non-WC3 compliant code aside. Maybe you're missing a plug-in or something... Wink

Hey, I didn't know that.

What plugin do I need? I do have Firebird/Firefox on my winbox and I can't use the built-in editor that came with Mambo 4.5.

Got me, sengsara. I was simply conjecturing that maybe something needs to be added. After all, Firefox is a hotrod, so to speak. By design, it has been stripped of all non-essential features. Here's a current list of things that can be added, if you want check it out:

http://texturizer.net/firefox/extensions/

Personally, all I have added is the Googlebar extension, the DOM Inspector, and the Javascript Console. Everything seems to work fine for the things I do. I was hoping to get a URL, so I could witness the problem myself...

You know, I was re-reading this thread, and I would be willing to bet that there are some errors in that JavaScript code. Many times, IE allows sloppy code to be displayed, but Mozilla doesn't.

If you're running Firefox, go to the affected page and click on Tools->JavaScript Console in your browser. This will bring up the JS console in a seperate window, and you can see if there are any errors being generated by the code. The JavaScript Console in Firefox is an excellent dev tool! Dittos for the DOM Inspector.

BTW, if you don't have the DOM Inspector available in your Firefox Tools section, you will need to reinstall Firefox using the 'Custom' install feature. The 'typical' install will NOT install the DOM Inspector, since most ppl 'typically' are NOT web developers, and have NO need for it... Wink
