Folks, I have updated the Forums Tap to consolidate a few rewrites, add the modules.php?name=Forums -> forums.html and forum pruning rewrite, all files can be found on my first post of this thread, I will update it periodically with anything that anyone finds not already listed. Take it easy. Updated as of Oct. 4th, 2003

Hey, Audioslaved, I've been watching this thread since August, and I finally decided that your 'Forums Tap', so called, was probably stable enough to try on my production site. And, man, am I impressed!!!
There were several things about the way Google Tap handled the Forums that bugged me, not the least of which was how you clicked the 'next thread' or 'previous thread', at the top of a post, and it didn't do squat. You just got the same thread again. Your mod has fixed this (and more). Do I use this feature a lot? No, but it bugged me all the same, you know?
Personally, I think you should turn these Google Tap tweaks into archives, e.g. replacement files, and upload them to your web space here at NukeCops for downloading. Maybe you aren't aware of this feature. I'll explain it to you further, if you don't know about it.
Hell, you're a smart guy. Click 'Uploads" in the 'Modules' column to the left, and you'll figure it out. Example[s]:
One of the principle reasons I'm telling you all this is because I've been running your tweak for a couple of days, and the Google bots finally discovered my Forums section. Here's a snapshot of my who-is-where block from tonight.
For those of you that can't decipher IP addies, everyone of those 'Guests' in the Forums is a Google bot!!! LoL! Dumb shitz! One of them is sitting at 'Your_Account', if you'll notice...
Anyway, you are providing a great service to the Nuke Community, with all these Google Tap tweaks, and I commend you for it! Keep up the good work! It is NOT going unnoticed...
VINDSL,
I am really glad it is working well for you. The reason I started the complete tap was so google would spider everything forum related in .html pages, such as user profiles, the phpbb mods (ranks, staff, groups, etc). I thought it would be nice for people have nice smaller URL's throughout the forum instead of a cross-breed of php url's and GT'd urls. At first I thought that doing this would bring my site to a crawl, but that hasnt been the case. The biggest thing that slowed my forums down was the &sid= stuff at the end of the URL.
On another note, I really appreciate your kind words about the taps I have completed. I will take your suggestion and upload them to the site, that way, whenever nukecops does update the distro, the code will already be all put together for them to do so.
Speaking of updating the distro, ahem!, Admins, any word on when this can happen? Many of the questions people have about GT (i.e Faq does not show answers, sections does not work right, etc) have all been fixed by the community. These questions will continue to surface until the distribution is updated. If you guys need any help, let me know.
Once again, thanks, see you around. I will make a distro thread when I have everything uploaded.
