Can someone please help me? I have installed eGallery 2.7.9

I have chmod 666 to \admin\modules\gallery\config.php
chmod 777 to \modules\my_eGallery\gallery
chmod 777 to \modules\my_eGallery\gallery\art
chmod 777 to \modules\my_eGallery\temp

here is a link for analyzer:
http://www.bay-clan.org/analyze.php
here is a link for phpconfig
http://www.bay-clan.org/phpinfo.php

Right now with those changes only up above. I cannot upload a test pic. It says "You can't post this file: Filetype not supported"

The weird part is that if I go to admin and Manage File Types it won't take the chages once I try to save it. I've created categories before and it does create the folder but it doesn't show as a selection Category when I attempt to upload. In fact, "Edit Categories" is completely empty. Basically my Category doesn't have any even though Art and my new created category folder is there and yes they are all 777.

Also, I checked with my webhost and it is NOT in Safe Mode. At this point I'm out of options unless someone sees what I might have missed. Any help is really appreciated. ArtificialIntel I hope you can help me.

I've tried both Gallery and My_eGallery, and I strongly recommend just letting My_eGallery go and switching to Gallery (http://gallery.menalto.com/ - I've had almost no problems with it, as compared to hours and hours of trying to make My_eGallery work.

No, but although I've changed the name of the upload directory from temp to something else, it serves exactly the same functions and should have the same permissions. I also had to change references to temp in a few files as well, which I documented in another post. If you are using the default temp, you obviously won't need to worry about these.

Come to think of it, as I sit here now, I have absolutley no Idea why I went to so much trouble.

They do say if it aint broke, dont fix it. The origin of my obscure nickname becomes a little clearer!
