Hi all!

My english isnt very well. Sorry! I have already used your search function but didnt find anything about my problem. Im using a nuke system with an integrated phpBB Board and found the following note at the bottom "Ported and tested by: Nuke Cops BBtoNuke 2.0.7 by Nuke Cops" and thats why im coming up here with the following problem:

All images added to users board profile signature are distorted and have not the original size. Below the pics is a note like this "Click here to view the picture in original size". But if i click there - nothing happens. And i dont want to click to view the original size - i always want to see them original sized!! The pictures where added to the signature like this ()=[]:
(url=http://myurl.com)(img)http://myurl.com/images/mypic.jpg(/img)(/url)

I do not find anything in the boards configuration panel to fix it and now i need your help with this. Much thanks for every usefull response!!!

Have a nice day and bye for now.

Do you know what modification you are using exactly?

What version of phpNuke?
What version of the forums? Note: the only version number that matters is the one in the form

All the information in the footer:

Quote:
Powered by phpBB 2.0.13 © 2001-2003 phpBB Group
phpBB port v2.0.7 based on Tom Nitzschner's phpbb port 2.0.6 upgraded to phpBB 2.0.7 standalone.
Ported and tested by: Nuke Cops
BBtoNuke 2.0.7 by Nuke Cops © 2004http://www.nukecops.com

I dont know wich mods are installed actually. How can i get this information, eq. where can i find the mods? The only hint i have for my problem with the signature images is this message "Click on the image to view it at its original size"

This isn't standard in phpNuke 7.6. What package are you using?

http://www.nuke-platinum.de

Myself i have thought it isn't a standard nuke system. So, no chance to get any help here, mhh?

Perhaps you can tell me what nuke system is the ultimative standard system? There are so many derivative systems all over the net and i don't know wich one to take to get a full working system. I want a nuke system that is NOT modified. And professional support must be available for it, too.

The question is simple: Wich nuke system is the basic system where all the modified ones was build from?

Well the only one would be the original - http://phpnuke.org
FB releases all the originals here. However, they released at inconsitant times, often late for security and bug fixes. To get the fixes, you'd have to upgrade to the latest version usually.

The solution to that problem is the Patched files. http://www.nukeresources.com
It requires an already existing phpNuke running, ala it is not a "full" package

Created and maintained specifically for the versions of phpNuke, it patches all known security issues and adds the bug fixes. It is probably THE standard you should use when developing. It is much more actively updated than phpNuke standard. Often FB has to play catch up to work the Patched changes into the next release phpNuke.

Other mods may or may not maintain compatibility with the Patched files. Really, that is something we cannot control. Nor can we control all the custom packages people are making. It would be nearly impossible to support everything.

Maybe you'll find someone using Platinum that has this issue as well. I don't really know - if the developers can't give you help, then your best bet was to post here Smile

Thank you very much for this description, sir!

My signature images are looking fine now. The bug wasn't in the system or forum mods. It is my Free Cost Webspace Provider who makes my images look sick. Now i have installed a local development system (xampp from apache friends) and all is looking fine and working correctly in this box. No more distorted pictures!!!

I already have taken a look at php-nuke. The System do not come with a user group management and that's it why i choosed another nuke system. Nuke-Platinum is using the forums user groups and gives me control of which sideboxes to show to a special user group. Also the modules using this group management. I miss this in php-nuke ...

But actually i have heard about a module for php-nuke - named nsngroups. I will try to get it and install this mod to a running php-nuke system. If it comes up with a usefull group management then, i really must think about using the original standard php-nuke again ... hope it will run with my selfmade nuke-platinum-theme though!

Thanks you Evaders99 for all the information and the attempt to help me with this stupid problem!! If you like, take a look at my site - but remember it is still under construction!! Wink

At least i'm sorry for my bad english - have learned english@school many years before ... Smile

Bye for now,
xdreams
