Have you considered re-structuring this forum?
The way it is gets really "huge" and boring sometimes to cover all new posts. And to actually decide where to post.
I have a 1400x1050 res screen and even so I take 6-7 screens to get to the bottom of the page.
There are a few categories that could be deleted or merged into a single "old" stuff. Others could be re-organized to a single criteria division.
Just some ideas.

Actually yes. I'm planning a refresh of the site - that will include a restart of the forums from a fresh slate.
(It doesn't mean that the old forums won't be here, rather I'll close this one and keep it as read-only)
Mostly the forums have been what we've inheritted, with no significant changes thus far. It started fairly massive.. the public doesn't see about half the forums that have already been closed.
The forums will be restructured, I'll try and bring in some new moderators, get some plans to make it easier to search and find items. My goal would be to get an answer to every problem within one-two clicks ... of course, that would take a fair amount of work from the group to achieve.
