Hello Dave...
Before misunderstandings go overrule ...
You show in your homepage screenshot no block at all ... in your second screenshot you show2 blocks
one on the right and one in the center .. so to understand your question
** You want to have the 2 blocks show as 1 on that position?
However if do that , and if you add later a different block on the right , your topics/news articles will reduce size.

Look at the first picture. I want the page to look exactly like that but have one banner block stretch across as the others do.
The other picture is to show what happens when I move the block up there. It's weird cause when it's bottom center it's one block stretched across which is exactly what I want. When I change it to top center it turns into two blocks and moves the stories over as I have pictured.
Hope that makes sense. |

yes your explenation is understood... however i'm amazed aswell...
That isnt normal behavior for a theme.
Is it a default theme or is it customized? |

it's a semi customized theme but pretty much everything has worked as it would in a normal theme.
I just need to know what and where I need to edit to change the Banner block. |

You should at least provide us with the block code.
And even then it might not be posseble to fix your problem.
It can be whatever.... |

I don't suspect it will be a difficult fix as I've had other alignment fixes which I've easily found the answers to on here. I just need my hand held a bit to get me started.
I can not figure out how to post code on this forum... is there some trick. I've tried about a 100 different things and it will not allow me to post code. I don't get it. |

Maybe this is the file where the change needs to be made. Here is the blocks.php file from the theme I'm using.
You'll have to right click and save this file then open it with a text editor as for some reason when you click it from the web it's opening as a html file still.
Please help.

I have determined that this happens with any block I put in the center_up postition.
What happens is it's doubling any block that I move from the center_down position to the center_up position.
Any ideas where to fix this issue? |

K, I've now loaded a new install of NUKE on a completely different server. I've taken a copy of the theme I'm using currently off my live website and uploaded it to the new mirror on the new server and when I move any block to the centerup position it works as exactly as it should.
See it here.

So..... it's apparently not the theme. Evader you worked on my site a while back regarding to some alignment issues. Is there anything you can think of that may have been changed outside the theme to make this happen?
I have no idea where to look now. ............ I'll never get any advertisers if I can't put the banner in that section. |
