I have php-nuke 6.5 with phpbb forums.

1.There is no place for users to upload or link to an avatar in the "your account" administration pages. Users can only pick from the gallery images.

I went to the configuration page through the forums admin side. It is set to allow uploading of avatars, remote linking and gallery avatars. The paths to the gallery and upload directory are correct. If I go to avatar management, I can see the avatars people have uploaded in the past and the gallery avatars are there to choose from.
I checked the permissions on the folder that avatars will be uploaded to and it is chmod to 777.

2. When people select "watch this thread" the e mail sent out has an incorrect link.

It sends:
Code:
http://R6-Forum.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=181&unwatch=topic

But it should be

Code:
http://R6-Forum.com/nuke/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=181&unwatch=topic

On the forum config page the relative path to the forums directory is set to include "nuke".

Your whole problem may be your Domain setting in your Forums Admin/Configuration.

it should be
http://R6-forum.com/nuke
not
http://R6-forum.com

same with the setting in your Nuke Admin/Settings

That did fix the reply e mails! Thanks so much. But there is still no place for the users to upload an avatar.

If I go into "your account" there is no place that show avatar managment. But if I go to the forum admin, then select edit user, there is a spot to remote link and avatar. The down side is the average user does not have access to it.

Anyone other ideas?

Yeah, go to 'profile' in phpBB, not 'Your Account' in Nuke. This is a bug in the port. Gets ppl every time. Use 'profile' whenever possible, not 'Your Account'... Wink

...Bump?

Hrm... never paid any attention to this on my site. I upload custom avatars to every site I'm on, except my own. LoL! Go figure.

Okay, let's take this journey together!

I'm running a highly modded version of Nuke 6.5 on my webdev site. I'm also running a somewhat modded version of phpBB 2.0.6. Whatever I do should work for you... Wink

Went to my profile in the forums. I don't have the option to upload an avatar. Alrighty then...

Went to phpBB Forums Admin -> General Admin -> Avatar Settings and enabled avatar uploading. The avatar paths were both set to 'modules/Forums/images/avatars'. Then I clicked 'Submit'.

Went back to my profile in the forums. Now I have the option of uploading an avatar.

Picked out an avatar from my machine and uploaded it. Got bish-slapped with the following error:

Code:

Warning: copy(./modules/Forums/images/avatars/14361920963f77b47b83d82.jpg): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/lenonco/public_html/includes/usercp_avatar.php on line 264

Dude! Look! No permission! Now we're getting' somewhere... Twisted Evil

Shelled to /modules/Forums/images/avatars/ and CHMOD'ed this directory to 777 - was 755.

Went back to my phpBB forum profile and tried to upload an avatar again.

Bingo! Check your permissions. Thank you for flying NukeCops! Cool
