I am not sure if this is a bug or if it's our hosts fault but a number of nuke sites that I maintain (several on different servers) have been knocked down when backend.php was loaded in a block on one of the sites. I don't know why a bad block would cause such a problem any ideas on how to fix it?

My host, Ipowerweb, has been the culprit with this issue. Periodically, any feeds from other sites to blocks on my site will cause site to fail to resolve. Ipowerweb has "fixed" the problem by "restarting the webserver." If you are Feret from Sun and Shadows.com, I know Ipowerweb is the culprit - give it a shot, call em and ask for the same solution.
