Several years ago an Internet Service Provider gave me phpWebsite with my hosting. I used to think "you get what you pay for". Since having been introduced to phpNUKE I have changed my way of thinking. That is until lately.
About three weeks ago one of the phpNUKE web sites I host for FREE got hit by a hacker and since then I haven't felt too easy about using NUKE. On top of that I was recently informed that NUKE was not 508 compliant.
I provide pro-bono services to about a dozen non-profits in Maine who require Section 508 Compatability. Can anyone provide some suggestions for security and 508? Specifically it appears as though a hacker has been able to create an admin account inadvertedly. I cannot understand why. Some help would be greatly appreciated.
I am a one man show and cannot afford to hire help in an effort to keep hackers from getting in. If NUKE is going to be that easy then I will need to get something else.

I believe Section 508 deals with making webpages readable to the disabled. That is mostly rules that you need to apply to your themes. I don't know if you will have to change any phpNuke code for that to work.
