My install of Sommaire has been buggy from the beginning. Specifically the check boxes at the bottom for selecting Dynamic menus and Extended Admin view have no effect. To disable dynamic menus I had to directly edit the dynamic field value in the database. Also when I view the Sommaire admin menu, there is the message “Action not permitted” echoed at the bottom of the screen.
I've read a few posts where this can indicate something missing, but I've yet to find it. I have turned on error reporting and debugging mode. However, I don’t get any output from debugging mode on that page. Reading the code is hard enough for me, it doesn’t help the comments are in French. I've been translating all the comments using BabelFish, lol. But still no luck. I should also mention that when viewing the database, there are several fields with 0 that I think should have data, such as date_debut and date_fin. I'm certain something is not correctly interacting with the database.
Anyone have some ideas on possible issues to look for?
The other side of my Sommaire issue is it does not recognize the group level permissions I can create using NSN Groups. Specifically I would like to be able to have the prohibited icon displayed correctly. Sommaire only checks if the user is a member of the site and show/hides the icon based on that. I need it to also check for group permissions as well. That might be a bit complicated for a simple post to answer, but I figured I would throw it out there.
Input?
