I also have this problem, What is the requirements of using this module?
I have the latest apache 1.3X and php4.3.2 with the bundled gd configured.

I'm running the latest snapshot of betaNC as well as the latest relesed version
this behaviour happens also witht the newest nuke

I'm running this on a local LINUX box that has no real IP

Do I need freetype?

I added the mod to remove this but I like the idea of having it for the admin login

I have searched the forum and looked at whatever faq's there are

The image nor background shows Just this:
Security Code

A copy of my analyze file can be found here:
http://www.shout.net/~slim/analyze-php.html

Thanks

how about your config.php. is gfx turned on??
Code:
# $gfx_chk:   Set the graphic security code on every login screen,
#      You need to have GD extension installed:
#      0: No check
#      1: Administrators login only
#      2: Users login only
#      3: New users registration only
#      4: Both, users login and new users registration only
#      5: Administrators and users login only
#      6: Administrators and new users registration only
#      7: Everywhere on all login options (Admins and Users)
#      NOTE: If you aren't sure set this value to 0

Please post a link to analyze.php

slimis

You don't have jpg support, you will need to modify the code to reflect png, instead of jpg

This thread will tell you how to do it. http://nukecops.com/postlite3503-security+image+png.html

If you haven't already notify your host of the mysql vulnerability, give them the link etc.

At the same time ask them if they would install GD library, you need it to display the security images. I can't remember off the top of my head if there is a way to work around not having GD library installed. That previous link I posted might have something about it in there.
